In the year 1955, was founded in Matosinhos the Industrial and Commercial School.

At the beginning the school was targeted at technical education and after April 25th of 1974 it changed its aims exclusively technical. Keeping pace with the social-political evolution, the school transformed its courses as the years went by.
The school is called Secondary School with 3rd level of Basic Education.
